Falling Jasmine

Hoy os hablo de joyas, una colaboración, un mundo de enorme creatividad que surge de la unión de Grillo Demo y Carolina  Herrera Jr., una colección en homenaje a la madre de Carolina, la gran Carolina Herrera, la dama de la moda neoyorkina, la creación de joyas Falling Jasmine.

Estas joyas son producto de la pasión que ambos sienten por el jazmín. Una flor que representa a una mujer naturalmente elegante que desprende belleza, es refinada y delicada, pero a la vez fuerte y sensual, valores intrínsecos en el mundo de Carolina Herrera.

El jazmín es un tema muy relacionado con el artista, ya que la ha utilizado en sus pinturas, la serie homónima Falling Jasmine (sus famosos collages de conocidos retratos a los que añade cascadas de jazmines pintados), y narra que se inspiro en el jazmín porque es una flor que se abre de noche y cae de madrugada. “Hubo una época en la que pasaba muchas madrugadas despierto en el jardín, tenía la misma visión: un jazmín cayendo”.

Carolina Herrera de Báez lo visitó en su casa cuando estaba pintando un jazmín sobre un retrato de su suegro, Miguel Báez. De ahí surgió esta colaboración que años antes había planeado con su madre, Carolina Herrera.

El elegante producto que surge de esta asociación única es una colección de joyas que consta de diez piezas exclusivas: cinco modelos de pendientes, dos collares, un anillo, una pulsera , un collar y una diadema; elaboradas en plata bañada en oro y esmaltadas en blanco. Cada pieza representa la flor y está diseñada de manera distinta, lo que permite combinarlas libremente.

Al final, se demuestra que arte y moda son una pareja perfecta, una necesidad que siempre ha sentido Carolina Herrera J., y que como él mismo dice: “Nada pasó ni antes ni después de que tuviese que pasar”.
