Ayuntamiento |

Today I invite you to visit a city that is very special to me, I say I am "pamplonica" heart because so sorry.
Yes, when Pamplona starts riding the fence for the San Fermin festival and the city is flooded with red and white, the colors of San Fermin; I'll give you some tips for do not miss details of this city that has a charm hard to forget. It is a simple, ancient and modern city at the same time.
A good place to start our tour would be the Plaza del Castillo, the heart of the city, surrounded by houses mostly from the eighteenth century where balconies, towers, attics and windows to follow the old town. Here are two universally known symbols thanks to Hemingway, who made famous San Fermin Festival with his book: Hotel La Perla, where the writer stayed while visiting the city and still keeps his memories; and Café Iruña, a classic, where you can enjoy the pleasure of sitting next to the Nobel Prize, a sculpture rests there.
When on July 6 chupinazo is discharged, a year all will see the Town Hall Square with a Baroque façade and superior finish, decorated with allegorical figures and a clock on the pediment neoclassical.
The closure has a first installment from the Cuesta de Santo Domingo, where stands the Museum of Navarre, to the Town Hall and Calle Mercaderes. Then tuck the Estafeta street to street Telefonica and enters the alley that leads to the Plaza de Toros
In the main street you can visit the Church of San Saturnino, patron saint of Pamplona. We can further appreciate the "little well" where San Cernin baptized the first navarros, among them San Fermin. It has a beautiful atrium of the eighteenth century, cover and tympanum.
For staying I recommend the Hotel Europa, balconies allow you to see the excitement of closure. Idoate family here will make you feel at home. And, of course, eat at your restaurant will be a delight. As a tribute, I advise the menu Eugenia, will taste the wonderful cuisine of Pilar Idoate, but will do a tribute to Eugenia Idoate, because it follows "clattering" through the halls; but also ask a fluid chocolate cake with cream cheese, she knows why.
Move off the route to the great Gothic Cathedral, the most emblematic monument of the city and the most historic treasures - art preserved. It was built during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. The jewel is the cloister, and the Diocesan Museum. Here we can see the view from the bastion of Redín. Because Pamplona is a city with history and many parks where you can walk: Gardens of the Taconera, a small zoo between walls; the Citadel, a former military castle of the seventeenth century.
It is time to take something, right? Well I advise three places will not forget: we climbed the Avenida Carlos III from his statue can see the Palacio de Navarra, Gayarre Theatre, arrive at the Plaza de Merindades, the Church of San Antonio and the cafeteria Florida, a place where they can savor toast with cream.
Or you can go to Conde de Rodezno, where you can enjoy an exhibition inside the building of the Valley of the Fallen and picnicking Obrador, here is my advice ties, but anything you will like.
With that, I leave to rest, to continue visiting another part of Pamplona.
